We strongly recommend that the Inter agency and Expert Group agree on an upgraded reporting system to improve the standard of reporting of countries to the international agencies.

There are a number of initiatives in place, supported by the Inter agency and Expert Group, to improve the MDG database managed by the Statistics Division.

This can be fed into the deliberations of the Inter agency and Expert Group and used as part of the process of determining the best way forward for particular indicators.

We propose that the Inter agency and Expert Group document the list of international programmes to improve indicators.
