We wish to record our position, however, that we would have much preferred a Council decision on this matter to have been taken with broader agreement.

However, we wish to place on record a reservation with regard to the eleventh preambular paragraph of the draft resolution, which refers to the final document of the 2005 world summit.

However, we wish to place on record a reservation with respect to the eighth preambular paragraph of the draft resolution, which refers to the 2005 world summit outcome document, for the reasons we have just mentioned.

Further, we wish to place on record that, with regard to the increase in the membership of the Security Council, the status of Latin America and the Caribbean has been diminished when compared to that of other regions especially taking account of the criteria related to quantitative and qualitative contributions set out by the Secretary General in his proposal on this issue.

That is certainly a method of work that we would encourage.
