Staff of the investigation team will form the core of the new office for addressing sexual exploitation and abuse in MONUC.

1. At the conclusion of its second meeting, held on 17 February, the drafting group requested the Bureau to prepare a note reflecting the discussion that had taken place at that meeting and suggesting ways in which the work of the drafting group might be developed.

As for previous sessions, the Bureau recommended that a working group be established at the thirty eighth session of the Commission to discuss issues that might result in resolutions or decisions.

The Working Group of the Whole also noted that the Office would consult the membership of the Action Team on Public Health regarding the possible co chairmanship of that team by WHO.

As part of an inter agency working group coordinated by UNDG to develop a common framework for cash transfers to implementing partners, OIA chaired the audit team which developed a new approach for maintaining assurance over the use of funds provided to partners.
