The open ended expert group held five meetings.

I have also selected Mr. Ka to chair the Group of Experts.

The SBI encouraged the CGE to continue its coordination efforts with the NCSP and other expert groups under the Convention and requested the secretariat to support the efforts of the CGE.

The Expert Group welcomed the invitation made by the expert from China to hold the second meeting of the Expert Group in Beijing.

Decides to refer the report of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Review of the Rules of Observer Status at the OIC back to the said Group for reconsideration.

Invites the Group of Experts (GoE) to take the necessary action to strengthen the links between the GoE and the work of the LADA

The SBI welcomed the oral report by the Chair of the CGE.

The Expert Group also established contact groups on a number of cross cutting issues.

C. Conclusions of the Expert Group on Distributive Trade Statistics

The GoE reached the following three conclusions

Establishment of a GHS capacity building programme advisory group, the meetings of which are held back to back with those of the GHS Subcommittee

We also endorse the establishment of an advisory group of 12 experts, broadly representative of the humanitarian donor community, as well as technical expertise from countries affected by crises.
