The country has had a limited military partnership with Russian Federation, other CIS countries and a partnership with NATO since 1994.

We consider it very important that the CTC meeting will be convened jointly with the Commonwealth of Independent States, in the heart of the Eurasian continent.

By end 2003, the number of jobless in Eastern Europe and in the CIS was about 18 million and 10 million, respectively.

Many CIS countries had adopted special national programmes to prevent and suppress illegal migration, human trafficking and the transborder weapons trade.
