By end 2003, the number of jobless in Eastern Europe and in the CIS was about 18 million and 10 million, respectively.

Association of Caribbean States

Many CIS countries had adopted special national programmes to prevent and suppress illegal migration, human trafficking and the transborder weapons trade.

In particular, in addition to carrying out other meaningful activities, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have set up, and quite successfully operated, specialized antiterrorist centres.
