(b) Assisting with travel costs associated with the participation of developing States parties in meetings of relevant global organizations

Because the Implementation Committee needs the assistance of the Multilateral Fund secretariat and the Fund's implementing agencies, it is important that the meetings of the Executive Committee not overlap with the meetings of the Implementation Committee.

The Fund has successfully provided assistance to numerous developing country party representatives so that they might attend convention meetings.

In many locations the authorities have also established regular dialogue with humanitarian assistance organizations, including weekly coordination meetings bringing together humanitarian workers and representatives of the relevant administrations.
