As Croatia was a predominantly Catholic country, most of such ceremonies were conducted within the Catholic tradition.

Law 92 1967 contains the penalties imposed in case of violation of the presidential decrees implementing Security Council resolutions.

Represented by the Ministry of the Interior, the executive has responsibility for application of the Nationality Act and the enforcement of its provisions. These decrees eased registration procedures for religious organizations and abolished criminal liability for activities of religious organization that were not registered in accordance with the requirements.
