In accordance with the authority vested in it by the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee adopted a number of decisions which are annexed to the reports of the different Standing Committee meetings, as follows

The report was considered by the Office's Executive Committee in October 2004, and, prior to its submission to the General Assembly in 2005, progress has already been made on the recommendations referred to the Standing Committee for consideration.

The Executive Secretaries of the regional commissions participated actively in all the meetings of the Executive Committee on Economic and Social Affairs.

The Executive Committee requested UNHCR to commission and report on a full independent review of its senior management structure that encompasses the issues raised by the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions and the Standing Committee and any relevant results of the headquarters process review.
