National and subregional consultations on the implementation of the Rotterdam Convention

Article 14 of the Basel Convention recommends the establishment of regional or sub regional centers for training and technology transfers regarding the management of hazardous wastes and other wastes and the minimization of their generation.

Five BCRCs have signed formal agreements with the Secretariat of the Basel Convention to host regional centres and operate under this type of agreement with host Governments.

1920 Regional and subregional agreements
