Provision of 1,575,200 is proposed under information technology, an increase of 1,060,900 over the 2004 05 appropriation.

The provision under information technology ( 406,100) includes requirements of 368,600 for the acquisition of data processing equipment.

The provision of 205,000 is required for the training of staff in technology administration, programming and systems analysis.

These programmes involve the provision of credit, the supply of inputs, technical training, functional literacy, training in gender issues, self promotion, management and nutrition, and the provision of appropriate equipment and technology.

In the UK this is via the Export of Goods, Transfer of Technology and Provision of Technical Assistance (Control) Order 2003.

The provision of greater economic aid, debt relief, public and private investment, and technology transfer to those countries was of prime importance.

The provision also includes the amount of 1,415,300 for the replenishment of the strategic deployment stocks for information technology equipment for the Mission.
