Recently adopted legislation included the new Labour Law, the Law on Labour Protection, a number of regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers on employment and labour protection and the Administrative Procedure Law.

Changes in other relevant legislation on the labour market occurred in autumn 2000, with adoption of the Law on Changes and Amendments of Labour Law in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Labour Law in Republika Srpska, which introduced modern labour legislation and rescinded lay off .

Until then, the multinational and the Iraqi forces must act in compliance with international law.

The status of women, protected in the 1946 Law on Equality of the Sexes, was also protected in the constitution and in labour, education, public health, civil and family law.

We thank the Court for its advisory opinions, which represent the truth. Compliance with the Court's advisory opinions means compliance with the law, because justice is not an abstract concept. Implementation of legal principles is what matters.

Whatever the nature of the threat to the protection of the civilian population, compliance with international humanitarian law, human rights law, refugee law and international criminal law by all parties concerned provides the strongest basis for ensuring respect for the safety of the civilian population.

(d) Ensure compliance with several articles of the Convention, including articles 6 to 9, for example by setting up a Law Commission

All the measures taken, however, had been in full compliance with Italian and international law, and none of the accusations was true.

The newly drafted Labour Law introduced specific definitions of direct discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment) and indirect discrimination in line with the recent case law of the European Court of Justice.

The law on gender equality was promulgated on 30 July 1946, following which the Constitution, the labour law, the education law, the public health law and other legislation and regulations were adopted to consolidate the legal and institutional system to prevent discrimination and protect women.

It is clear that long term efforts must be made to ensure strict compliance with international humanitarian law by all the actors involved.

Pressure must be also brought to bear on belligerent parties to bring them into compliance with the rules and principles of international law.

While there had been some instances in which migrant domestic workers had been exploited, such women were fully protected by Irish labour law.
