Manufacture for civil purposes, so called known purposes , which also includes final storage or production of nuclear fuel for ship propulsion, is still permitted.

But official encouragement of production of bio fuels on land that would have been used for other purposes must stop.

For the purposes of the Decree, the terms chemical weapons, discrete organic chemical, precursor, facility, equipment, purposes not prohibited, inspection, production, processing and consumption shall have the meanings that they have in the Convention.

But even those who would not agree to this assertion should realize and do realize, I believe that banning further production of fissile material for weapons purposes would serve both purposes, and thus our common security.

All chemical weapons production capacity must be inactivated and subsequently destroyed or converted for peaceful purposes, subject to stringent verification by the OPCW.

The States parties reaffirm their inalienable right to engage in research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination and that free and unimpeded and non discriminatory transfer of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes to all States parties should be fully ensured.

Article IV of the NPT guarantees the inalienable rights of all States parties to the NPT to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

There should be no interpretation of the Treaty that would jeopardize the inalienable right of States to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

The time had also come to start negotiations on a treaty banning the production of fissile materials for weapons purposes and also, ideally, addressing the issue of existing stocks.

The State parties reaffirm the inalienable right of States parties to the Treaty to engage in research, production and the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination, and that free, unimpeded and non discriminatory transfer of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes should be fully ensured.

We reaffirm the inalienable right of all States to develop the research, production, and utilization of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination, as well as the inviolability of nuclear facilities.

Do members of the CD not find nuclear disarmament, prohibition of the production of fissile material for nuclear weapon purposes and all the other issues on our agenda important enough to pursue?

Ensuring the exercise of inalienable right of all parties to the Treaty to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination is specifically emphasized in Principle 14.

At the fifty ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly, Switzerland co sponsored resolution 59 81 (Canada) on the preparation of a treaty halting the production of fissile material for military purposes.

We recognize the inalienable right of NPT parties to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, without discrimination and in conformity with articles I and II of the NPT.

(a) Production and production capacity

We reaffirm the inalienable right of all States Parties to the NPT to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination but also in conformity with their non proliferation obligations and safeguards obligations under the Treaty, and provided that peaceful nuclear activities are not diverted for weapons purposes.

And critics have expressed concern about the environmental impact of corn and other crops grown for industrial purposes, such as plastics and ethanol production, not to mention the potential effects on global food prices.

While awaiting the end of these negotiations, Switzerland supports the principle requiring States producing fissile material for military purposes to observe a moratorium on production of such material and place it under IAEA controls.

Principle 3 Purposes

Malaysia wishes to reaffirm the inalienable right of the States parties to NPT to engage in research, production and the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes as enshrined under Article IV of the NPT.

The EU attaches special importance to the negotiation in the Conference on Disarmament of a treaty banning the production of fissile material for weapons purposes as a means to strengthen nuclear non proliferation and disarmament.

The prohibition also applies to instruments and technologies specifically designed for the production of the above mentioned weapons and of any other weapon that might be used to manipulate mankind and the biosphere for military purposes.

An international co production is a production where two or more different production companies are working together, for example in a film production.

These are pharmaceutical, research and medical purposes and purposes related to protection against toxic chemicals.
