Income support is provided to individuals with physical disabilities, sensory disabilities, intellectual disabilities and psychosocial disabilities by 58.8, 51.8, 56.1, and 44.7 per cent, respectively, of the countries that responded.

(iv) The rights of children, the elderly and persons with physical or mental disabilities

In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there are 70,000 disabled workers 49,916 in category I (totally disabled to work) and 14,500 in category II (physical disabilities from work accidents and professionally related health conditions and accidents outside work).

Acknowledging that sport and physical education can present opportunities for solidarity and cooperation in order to promote tolerance, a culture of peace, social and gender equality, adequate responses to the special needs of persons with disabilities, dialogue and harmony,

(c) Providing training in mobility skills to persons with disabilities and to specialist staff working with persons with disabilities

To this end, States Parties should take appropriate measures to ensure that persons with disabilities have access, to the physical environment, to transportation, to information and communications technology, and to other facilities and services open or provided to the public.

Especially important is the development of The OWLS Sports Club (Opportunities Without Limits), which will co ordinate the development of a range of different sporting opportunities for persons with physical and or learning disabilities, and in many cases their siblings.
