The twelfth annual meeting of mandate holders was held in Geneva from 20 to 24 June 2005.

The High Commissioner attended a later meeting with the mandate holders to be briefed on the outcome of their discussion.

The Special Adviser on Gender Issues and Advancement of Women addressed the twelfth meeting of the special procedures mandate holders on 21 June 2005 to discuss the process, as well as opportunities for cooperation, and invited the mandate holders to draw attention to the study whenever possible.
