Finally, to improve the Consolidated List, Interpol has agreed to check its registry of persons against those on the List.

Finally, some innocent persons may have their assets frozen or travel impeded because they have the same or a similar name to an individual on the List.

In accordance with article 43, as amended, nine Committee members were to be elected for a term of four years by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by States parties.
