Additional issues were identified by some participants, including

(i) Cross cutting issues identified by the Commission at its eleventh session

Experts identified issues of particular policy importance that should be given priority attention.

Other important issues were identified during discussion of this subject in the Sixth Committee.

The classification, as it is, does not address many issues from the list of statistical data or identified in gender issues indicators.

In this way, the areas of work issues that need to be addressed can be identified.

The review identified a potential to further improve this support through clearer and more tailored advice, written material, and more training of secretariat staff, for example on procedural issues.

The Quartet's Special Envoy, James Wolfensohn, has identified six short term and three longer term challenges to economic recovery and is working closely with the parties on those issues.
