15. Emphasizes the importance of the intergovernmental nature of the Committee for Programme and Coordination in discharging its functions

The Committee, through its Chairman, will continue to participate in relevant intergovernmental and other conferences and meetings, as necessary.

The Committee highly appreciates the involvement in these meetings of Governments, intergovernmental organizations, United Nations entities and civil society.

(h) Other activities necessary to support implementation of decisions taken by the Conference of Plenipotentiaries and the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee.

(c) A political, scientific and cooperative intergovernmental body with the main purpose of financing sustainable forest management projects, consisting of a political committee, a scientific committee, a financial and cooperation committee, and regional consultation meetings

6. Urges those intergovernmental bodies effectively to review the relevant recommendations on evaluation to facilitate their consideration by the Fifth Committee

The Committee is deeply appreciative of the involvement in those meetings of Governments, intergovernmental organizations, United Nations entities and civil society.

The Stockholm Convention was adopted 23 May 2001, less than three years after the first meeting of its intergovernmental negotiating committee.

The present report also takes into account the recommendations made by the Committee during the consideration of Aruba's reports in 2001. It was prepared by the intergovernmental Aruban Human Rights Committee.

33. Reaffirms the roles of the Fifth Committee of the General Assembly, the Committee for Programme and Coordination and the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions in the intergovernmental consideration of the planning, programming and budgeting process

In 1967 IOC established the Intergovernmental Committee for the Southern Ocean to promote and coordinate oceanographic observations and research in the Southern Ocean.

The Advisory Committee should adhere to its responsibilities and refrain from making politically oriented recommendations which could jeopardize the outcome of intergovernmental debate.

The Committee on Contributions seemed increasingly inclined to engage in substantive debates on topics which clearly fell within the purview of intergovernmental legislative bodies.
