The National Child Benefit Supplement is considered unearned income and deducted from social assistance payments.

How many poor children will suffer or die from lack of food and health care? How many children will miss out on education because teachers are absent due to low wages, or simply because poor children must work to supplement their family income?

Workers that have migrated to richer countries send home financial remittances that can temporarily supplement the income generated by our national economies but that, in the long term, prevent us from exploiting our most important asset our most highly qualified human resources.

Household disposable income is about 60 of national income in China, and the household savings rate is close to 30 of disposable income.
