The New Education Law in Bolivia For An Alternative Education

The draft Law on Higher Education is currently under preparation, while the Entities and Brčko District have adopted the following laws Law on Pre Primary Education, Law on Primary Education, Law on Secondary Education and Law on Higher Education.

The law on education reflects the new relations in the Republic's education system.

Framework Law on Primary and Secondary Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In the field of education, the Framework Law on Primary and Secondary Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been adopted.

A draft Law on Vocational Education and Training in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the draft Framework Law on Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina are both currently ongoing.

BiH Framework Law on Primary and Secondary Education

Under the Republic of Tajikistan law on education, general basic (9 year) education is compulsory.

In primary education, the wearing of scarves by girls was forbidden by law.

In Republika Srpska, the following laws have been adopted the Law on Primary School, the Law on Secondary School, and the Law on Higher Education.

In Brčko District, the education field is regulated by the Law on Education in Primary and Secondary Schools of Brčko District in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Within the framework of this process, one of the first adopted laws is the Framework Law on Primary and Pecondary Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina , whereas the Law on Higher Education in BiH is in preparation.

Preschool education is not regulated by organic law and exists only in certain urban centres.

The Framework Law on Primary and Secondary Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted in June 2003.

Women had also made extensive gains in the field of education and equal access to free education without gender discrimination was now guaranteed by law.

In 2007 a law was passed to increase free, noncompulsory education until 18 years of age.

In 1999, a new education law was passed to provide free compulsory education for 11 years, and a law on the protection of persons with disabilities was passed in 2003 to ensure equal access for persons with disabilities to public services.

The framework Law on Primary and Secondary Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina includes provisions forbidding any form of discrimination in respect to education, as does the Law on Gender Equality, adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly (published in the Official Gazette, 16 03).

In line with this, Law Number 2 of 1989 on National Education system has been revised by Law Number 20 of 2003 to confirm the inclusion of gender perspective in the National Education System as stipulated in Articles 4 (1) and 5 (1).
