We welcome the bold recommendation to replace the Commission on Human Rights with a Human Rights Council.

The UN General Assembly should follow the UN Special Rapporteur s recommendation to establish a Commission of Inquiry into war crimes and crimes against humanity in Burma.

Limited action has been taken to follow up on the work of the Judicial Committee, set up upon the recommendation of the National Commission of Inquiry.
