Where, however, the adoption of one amendment necessarily implies the rejection of another amendment, the latter amendment shall not be put to the vote.

As of 10 June 2005, 190 Parties had ratified the Vienna Convention, 189 had ratified the Montreal Protocol, 177 had ratified the London Amendment, 166 had ratified the Copenhagen Amendment, 130 had ratified the Montreal Amendment and 92 had ratified the Beijing Amendment.

The 2003 amendment of the 1945 Constitution clearly stipulated that every citizen has the right to work and make a living (Article 28 (2) Amendment).

In addition, we call upon all States that have not yet done so to adhere to the Convention and its amendment, and, until such time as the amendment has entered into force, for all States to act in accordance with the object and purpose of the amendment.

Both Ireland and Tajikistan had notified the Secretariat of their intention to ratify the Beijing Amendment and certified their full compliance with the Protocol as amended by the Copenhagen Amendment.

Another representative, however, feared that any such extension would simply reduce the incentive to ratify the Beijing Amendment, and called on all Parties to ratify the Amendment expeditiously.

This brings the number of ratifications of the Montreal Amendment to a total of 136 and the number of ratifications of the Beijing Amendment to101.
