With regard to official travel, the unspent balance resulted mainly from the following factors

The Advisory Committee was informed that this was due mainly to reduced requirements under facilities and infrastructure owing to the utilization of stocks and supplies acquired during the current financial period and under commercial communications owing to the reduction in the number of international staff.

The net decrease of 25,200 is attributable mainly to lower requirements in other staff costs based on the current pattern of expenditure.

The resources proposed cover the requirements for the new post and the changes in standard salary costs hence the increase of 143,700 under posts and related requirements under non post resources (an increase of 18,900).
