MERCOSUR Agreement on transport of dangerous goods

(ix) Options to facilitate global harmonization of transport of dangerous goods regulations with the Model Regulations and their implementation, including a world convention for the international transport of dangerous goods

Regulation 11 November 2002 no. 1264 concerning road and rail transport of Dangerous Goods.

In accordance with the IMDG Code, Dangerous Goods classified 1 to 9 must be declared on the DG Manifest Form.

January 2005, both these regulations have transposed the security provisions of Chapter 1.4 of the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods. The provisions are implemented in the Regulation 11 November 2002 no 1264 concerning road and rail transport of Dangerous Goods.

A Work of the Committee regarding the transport of dangerous goods

The security of such materials by road and rail in Great Britain, along with other dangerous goods, is regulated by the DfT through security regulations included in the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2004 as amended.
