Informal consultations on a draft resolution on the Ad Hoc Committee on a Comprehensive and Integral International Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities (Third Committee) (convened by the delegation of Mexico)

UNMIS has held consultations with the Government of National Unity and the Government of Southern Sudan to develop a comprehensive returns policy, resulting in an agreement to commence assisted returns in 2006.

Some Member States mentioned having held or participated in regional sectoral briefings and consultations in connection with the work of the Ad Hoc Committee on the convention on the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities.

In addition, nine regional and three sub regional consultations were conducted, along with national level consultations and field visits.
