Comment by the Administration. Additional steps have been taken by the Accounts Division, in conjunction with the executive offices, to systemize recovery.

During the period covered by the fifteenth work programme, the Committee will continue its efforts to complete the revitalization process, in particular to ensure that the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate becomes fully operational.

The technical assistance activities of the Terrorism Prevention Branch of the Office are undertaken in compliance with the decisions and policy guidance of the Counter Terrorism Committee of the Security Council and in close coordination with the work of the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate.

The Executive Director's idea of moving forward by one week the date of the Governing Council's session seemed to him the best option to date for ensuring full participation also in the session of the Commission on Sustainable Development.

Recently, the monitoring efforts of the Counter Terrorism Committee have been revitalized by the creation, within the Secretariat, of the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate, the main role of which is to promote the understanding and implementation of Council resolution 1373 (2001).

We look forward to working with the CTC and the CTED in achieving that goal.
