The incumbent will be responsible for identifying technologies for use in the Fund's operation as they relate to the overall systems environment.

Accordingly, a General Service (Other level) post is requested, which will enable the team in the Office of the Ombudsman to process the workload in a timely manner.

The incumbent of the post would head the Environment and Energy Statistics Branch established within the Division in 1991.

The incumbent will also be tasked with monitoring bank charges on various accounts and the timely posting of funds transferred.

The incumbent would provide substantive services to the subsidiary organs established by the Security Council, and in particular, to the sanctions committees, and administer secretariat services related thereto

The incumbent would participate in the organization and supervision of secretariat services required by the Security Council and in the provision of substantive services to the Council, its subsidiary organs and special missions.

The post will provide substantive leadership and overall guidance in the Unit and offer policy guidance to counterparts in the field (several of whom are at the D 1 and P 5 levels).

The incumbent of the P 4 post will be responsible for the supply of food rations, office supplies, uniforms and accoutrements, petrol, oil and lubricants, etc.

The incumbent of the P 3 post will supervise payroll and payments, the P 2 will supervise treasury functions and the General Service posts will provide support for all four categories of functions, accounting, payroll, payments and treasury.

The incumbent will provide advice to the Chief of the Section on mission air operations and contract management and will formulate budgetary requests for resources.

Rather it recommends that the incumbent of the P 5 post that it is recommending for this function be located in the Office of the Under Secretary General.

With the assistance provided by this post, Engineering will have better control of documentation and better control of the execution of projects.

The incumbent will liaise with other offices and units in the Department and with other departments and offices at Headquarters, as well as with heads of mission and senior management on disciplinary issues.

The incumbent will provide overall guidance to missions in the implementation of procedures and guidelines to ensure that effective control and verification mechanisms are in place for the management of memorandums of understanding.

In addition, the incumbent will coordinate and direct training activities to support the capacity of police contributing countries for peacekeeping and to support national and regional training initiatives.

The incumbent would serve primarily as Secretary of the Security Council subsidiary bodies and, in that capacity, provide all substantive services at senior level and direct the secretariat work for such bodies.
