Reiterating the historic significance of the adoption of the Rome Statute,

We reiterate our fundamental objection to the Rome Statute's assertions that the ICC has jurisdiction over the nationals, including government officials, of States that have not become parties to the Rome Statute.

We hope that that issue will continue to be considered pursuant to the Rome Statute.
