The majority of the comments received from India and the Russian Federation were discussed (see appendix).

In reviewing the claims, the Panel has taken into account comments received from the Government of the Republic of Iraq ( Iraq ).

The approval and formalization of the final draft, incorporating feedback, was expected in the second quarter of 2005.

In addition to these comments on the recommendations of the report, on the issue of procurement volume, the comparison appears to be too linear.

It appears to be virtually impossible to draw trends or other cross country inferences from the data as they are so disparate (cf. the comments made previously).

The Inter Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee (IADC) has considered the comments received from member States of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, how these would be taken into account and good progress was made.

In view of the comments above, the Advisory Committee recommends that the estimated budget requirement be reduced from 371,835,600 to 367,610,000.

At the same meeting, the Commission decided that comments received after that date should also be made available to the Eleventh Congress.

The authors of the draft guidelines were retained again in December 2004 to revise the document, on the basis of various comments received.

At the request of the Committee, the secretariat made available for comment the revised draft overarching policy strategy contained in annex VII to the report of the second session.

In view of the comments in the above paragraphs, the Advisory Committee recommends that the estimated budget requirement be reduced from 22,027,700 to 21,939,900.

The importance of increasing the specificity of the recommendations contained in the concluding observations comments in order to facilitate implementation and follow up in the field was recognized and the need for greater substantive input and advice from relevant agencies to enhance such specificity stressed.

However, based on the comments received from the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and INSTRAW on the draft report, OIOS has revised some of the recommendations and increased from two to three the number of recommendations addressed to the Secretary General.
