Employment of women in the public sector. The Committee noted that women's share of the public sector employees was only 21.4 per cent and that they were concentrated in the health and education ministries.

Women and men have equal access to education and health care and are fairly equal in employment, but women are discriminated against in land holding, electoral politics, and government ministries.

These activities are, in the majority of countries, covered by the ministries of agriculture and forestry and the ministries of economic relations, land planning and environment.
