The Language Services Section continued to provide interpretation, translation and reproduction services to the Chambers, the parties and the Registry.

The additional meetings of the Committee would require interpretation services in the six official languages.

The constitutional principle of protection of minorities and the principles governing the interpretation of language rights favour a large and liberal interpretation of the French Language Services Act which imposes on the Government of Ontario a duty to provide services such as those provided at the Montfort, unless it is reasonable and necessary to limit them.
