The Islamic Republic of Iran's Customs Administration implements the state laws and regulations on export import in accordance with the Export Import Regulations Code and its annexed tariff table.

Nevertheless, specific regulations concerning lists of licensed importers, import quota allocations, and degressive schedules have generally only been introduced for the import of CFCs.

After licenses are verified against the lists and relevant rules and regulations, permission to import and export is issued.

In general, audited verification confirms that data relating to import quota allocations and actual imports are correct and procedures for issuing licenses and import permits have been in line with legal regulations.

The secretariat issues import export licences for chemicals in accordance with the Convention and domestic laws and regulations as well.

While all countries visited have covered all controlled substances by legislative acts, specific regulations concerning lists of licensed importers, import quota allocations, and degressive schedules have generally been introduced for the import of CFCs only.

In the countries visited, basic legislation relating to the import of substances controlled under the Montreal Protocol relies on the following legal acts and regulations

The import and export of the firearms and bullets are performed in accordance with the regulations prescribed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Violations of regulations relating to the import regime are subject to penalties in the form of fines, cancellation of licenses or, in serious cases, also imprisonment.

The import and export of arms by other entities are carried out in accordance with the regulations set by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Seventy three Member States have provided information on their local market regulations and 89 States have reported that they have reviewed their import export procedures to ensure that they conform to Security Council requirements.

The effectiveness of import licensing and prevention of illegal imports of ODS is highly dependent on the ability of customs officers to apply the regulations in force and to identify illegal shipments of refrigerants.
