The National Action Plan for Employment constitutes the main tool for planning and implementing employment policies. One of the guidelines of the National Action Plan is gender equality.

The Individualized Integration, Training and Employment Plan is available to everyone looking for work, whether or not they receive employment assistance, employment insurance or other public income support.

Through the National Action Plan for Employment and the National Action Plan for Social Inclusion, the efforts for the elimination of exclusion of women from employment are continued both in the public and in the private sector.

The plan allows an individual to benefit from more than one measure or employment service.

The National Action Plan for Employment, updated in 2004, was very much concerned with women's issues and had been successful in expanding the employment of women.

Among those who used the Individualized Plan, 38 percent were receiving employment assistance benefits, 43 percent were receiving employment insurance benefits, while 19 percent were receiving no public income support.

These measures are based on the four (4) pillars of the European Employment. It also includes activities that promote and qualitatively enlarge relevant policies of the National Action Plan for Employment.

Regarding the ongoing legal reform, the National Action Plan on Education, Health and Employment of 1996 was currently being updated.

FIGURES CONCERNING WOMEN'S UNEMPLOYMENT AND EMPLOYMENT The national policies for the abolition of exclusion from the labour market are expressed in the National Action Plan for Employment valid at a time and the National Action Plan for Social Integration, and are co financed by the European Social Fund (E.S.F.

There were chapters in the National Action Plan for Employment, for instance, dealing with male female employment, integration trends, improvement and support of family networks and use of the European Social Fund to achieve equality between men and women.

People receiving assistance develop a personal plan that outlines their barriers and strengths to employment and the necessary steps they must take to get a job.

In implementing that action plan, the Government of Indonesia has been working closely with local government to build a solid foundation to speed efforts to address youth employment.
