This is significant for the Commission's review because the underlying function of those structures is to support the work of trade unions, within industrial relations processes.

Review of country compilation and reporting practices. In 2006, the Statistics Division will conduct a comprehensive review of country practices in compilation and reporting of international merchandise trade statistics in order to assess their compliance with the current recommendations of the Statistical Commission.
