A true global partnership would help the developing countries and promote development at the global level.

The Executive Secretary has been able to mobilize an important number of partners in order to secure the critical level of cooperation and partnership required for the fruitful celebration of the IYDD.

In its assessment of 23 United Nations organizations, the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DfID) recently gave UNDP top honours for its focus on internal performance, country level results and partnership.
