The following changes have been made to income and social assistance programs and benefits during this reporting period.

If the transmitting State does not impose any tax on such income, it may exempt from the automatic reporting requirement those payments from payors of income in the transmitting State to foreign persons.

Such automatic reporting by payors of income could be considered the most effective procedure for enabling a Government to acquire relevant tax information.

The review encompasses (a) governance, different forms of administration, design of benefits, funding of benefits etc., and (b) reporting of income and expenditure.

Miscellaneous income interest income

In the reporting period, 152,234,987 in income was not received, as a result of the non provision of airport and other services, owing to the ban on travel by United States citizens. From 1960 until April 2005, a total of 2,043,167,229 in income was not received for this reason.

If the transmitting State does not generally receive that information from payors of income by a method of automatic reporting, the transmitting State generally cannot exchange information automatically with tax treaty partners.
