It was noted, however, that conceptualizing economic and financial crime might be difficult due to the many possible offences involved.

These ordinances are Offences against Property (Enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance, 1979 Offences of Zina (Enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance, 1979 Offences of Qazf (Enforcement of Had) Ordinance, 1979 and Execution of the punishment of Whipping Ordinance, 1979.

Offences that do not pose a great danger to society are premeditated offences punishable by deprivation of liberty for not more than three years and offences committed through negligence and punishable by deprivation of liberty for not more than five years.
