Welcoming the entry into force of the Agreement, and noting that the entry into force of the Agreement entails responsibilities for States parties and other important considerations as outlined in the Agreement,

The Agreement entered into force on 1 February 2004. Seven States are parties to the Agreement.

If the new Agreement is negotiated and enters into force during any period of extension of this Agreement under paragraph 2 or paragraph 3 of this article, this Agreement, as extended, shall terminate upon the entry into force of the new Agreement.

(a) the recipient country should have in force a Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement with the IAEA

This will bring into force the first combined comprehensive land claim and self government agreement in the Northwest Territories and the second such agreement in Canada.

The provisions of the agreement would come into force on 20 September.

Noting with satisfaction the imminent entry into force of the Agreement due to the fact that thirty States have ratified or acceded to it, and noting also that the entry into force of the Agreement entails responsibilities for States parties and other important considerations as outlined in the Agreement,

Any decisions, recommendations or suggestions adopted in accordance with the International Agreement which preceded this Agreement1 and which are still in force at the time of the entry into force of this Agreement shall continue to apply unless they are contrary to this Agreement or they are repealed by the Council of Members.

In addition, in accordance with article 19 of the Status of the Force Agreement, 2 the Government of Cyprus provides, without cost to the Force and in agreement with the Force Commander, areas for headquarters, camps, and other premises as may be necessary for the accommodation and the fulfilment of the functions of UNFICYP.

Governments which decide to put this Agreement into force provisionally among themselves may meet from time to time to review the situation and decide whether this Agreement shall enter into force definitively among themselves.

In North America, a safe third country agreement between the United States and Canada entered into force in December 2004.

The Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement signed between Malaysia and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) entered into force in 1972.

We also succeeded in adopting the resolution establishing the United Nations force to monitor the implementation of the Agreement.

2.2 In accordance with this same decision, the headquarters agreements already in force with Italy (FAO Headquarters Agreement in Rome) and Switzerland (United Nations Headquarters Agreement in Geneva) continue to apply to the Secretariat.

Subsequent negotiations led to a compromise agreement in November for a hybrid AU UN force that would deploy in three stages.

ESCAP Intergovernmental Agreement on the Asian Highway Network came into force on 4 July 2005.

In accordance with article 19 of the Supplementary Agreement, the entry into force of the Agreement requires approval by both the Assembly of the Authority and the Government of Jamaica.

Finally, the 1992 agreement authorizes only monitoring of internal tensions, not massive use of military force.

The Council may review the scope objectives of this Agreement years after its entry into force.

One of the most important elements of the new consensus referred to in the report should be agreement on the issue of the use of force.

In accordance with its commitments as a State party to the Treaty, Cuba concluded a comprehensive safeguards agreement with the Agency (INFCIRC 633) and a protocol additional to that agreement (INFCIRC 633 Add.1), which have been in force since 3 June 2004.
