The Nuclear Materials (Offences) Act (1983) and the Atomic Energy Act (1946) establish civil criminal penalties for offences in this area.

Act on Criminal Responsibility for Terrorist Offences (SFS 2003 148).

(a) Sexual Offences Act in 1995, protecting children from incestuous relationships

This Act guarantees the protection of victims against many types of offences including sexual offences according to the Penal Code.

According to the Civil Code and the Code on Administrative Offences, legal entities might be subject to property and administrative liability.

Under the Act, terrorism offences were extraditable offences, and suspected terrorists could be denied entry into or transit through the country.

The Convention is implemented nationally through the Nuclear Materials (Offences) Act 1983.

This Act concerns forms of sexual harassment and abuse that are criminal offences.

6.2 The act of prostitution is not illegal however, there are certain prostitution related activities which are considered offences under the Act.

Chapter 2 (other than Part 2.5) of the Criminal Code applies to all offences against this Act.

The Code of Criminal Procedure and the Code of Administrative Offences set out the rules for detention a brief period of detention was possible before or after the bringing of charges if deemed necessary to prevent the commission of a criminal act or to prevent escape or the destruction of evidence.

The Committee is concerned that the Sexual Offences Act of 1995 does not afford the same protection to boys as it does to girls.

The Committee welcomes the adoption of the Sexual Offences Act of 1995 which protects the child against incest, but is concerned that the Offences Against the Person Act protects only girl children from rape and not boys, and that there are no local laws that specifically deal with the issue of protecting children against psychological violence.

In addition, information is gathered on possible offences that the individual participants have been unable to fully recognise on their own, in order to obtain an overview of these offences and to discuss how to deal with them using administrative and or criminal law.

Consequently, the penal provisions on arms offences that allow a sentence of imprisonment, which are currently included in the Firearms Act (1 1998) and Public Order Act (612 2003), would be placed in the Penal Code.

All Federal indictable offences are money laundering predicate offences.

The acts listed under subparagraph (a) above are defined as offences under the terms of the aforementioned Act No. 04 016 of 19 July 2004.

Under the Ombudsman Act 1983 (Vic), the Ombudsman should make independent inquiries into administrative action taken by relevant public bodies.

Terrorist offences

1.11 Having acceded to most of the international instruments aimed at combating terrorism, the Sultanate understands that the offences established by these instruments are not deemed to be political offences. The Administrative Procedure Act sets out the principles of ensuring the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and good governance.

(e) Economic offences

The conduct mentioned in Operative Paragraph 2, if committed with a terrorist intent, is criminalised through the previously mentioned act on Criminal Responsibility for Terrorist Offences as terrorist offence.
