The Office of the Commissioner of Police keeps a register of dealers.

In addition Europol, Interpol, World Customs Organisation and the EU Commission have been invited to participate in the work of the OPC on a permanent basis.

Until the 1960s, the primary focus of criminal justice in the United States was on policing and police science.

Other countries referred to their cooperation with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (France and Germany) or international police organizations, such as the International Criminal Police Organization, the European Police Office or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Chiefs of Police (Malaysia, Namibia, Spain and Switzerland).

The Central Criminal Police deals with the criminal cases of pimping where prostitutes from Estonia are taken to other countries.

According to the Code of Criminal Procedure, an investigative body or a Prosecutor's Office commences criminal proceedings if there is reason and grounds for it.

The Israeli Police works closely with Interpol in the area of trafficking.

In some Canadian cities, special courts have been established for accused aboriginals who wish to be tried in an environment in which probation workers, prosecutors, defence lawyers and judges are familiar with the problems encountered by indigenous people in urban settings.

In the former case, the authors could have taken the initiative to protest the decision by the police to discontinue the criminal proceedings, but did not. In the present case, the authors had no possibility of altering the course of the criminal proceedings.

They have since been released. But police then raided the office of Kerdpoka, who works for independent news website Prachatai, a Global Voices partner.
