The team will coordinate the implementation of a standardized access control system in close consultation with the Office of Central Support Services.

The Commission encourages continued financial support for the office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Colombia.

28D.1 The Office of Central Support Services is responsible for the implementation of the work programme under this section.

Support to these complex specialized information systems will be provided by the Executive Office, given the fact that they fall outside the scope of the Information Technology Services Division of the Office of Central Support Services.

The implementation of these programmes is expected to employ 6,000 persons registered as unemployed, in addition to completing retraining and changed qualification for 1,649 workers.

(i) Substantive and secretariat support to the United Nations Office at Vienna and UNODC central review bodies in the context of the staff selection system

28. Decides to establish an Executive Office in the Department of Safety and Security consisting of 17 posts to handle its administrative support functions

(a) A small office to support my Special Representative and coordinate the work of the mission with the United Nations system partners in Timor Leste

At the same time, further international assistance will be essential, beyond the support provided through UNOTIL.

From this fleet, 5 fixed wing aircraft (2 heavy cargo and 3 medium STOL cargo passenger aircraft) and 15 helicopters (1 heavy cargo and 14 long range cargo passenger helicopters) would be used to provide the dedicated support for elections.

One General Service (Other level) post would also be required for each branch office to provide support to the Chief.

Similarly, the estimates of 5,200 for common support services for each activity would be absorbed within the provisions to be made available under section 28D, Office of Central Support Services, of the proposed programme budget.

The office of the Director of Operational Support will take the lead in the preparation of those policies and procedures with the active participation of the Budget Division as required.

The support office of the Fund is in the process of being set up, and the first meeting of its Advisory Board is expected to be held by the end of November.

28F.13 The Director of the Division for Management is responsible for providing effective leadership and direction on the management of administrative, conference and related support services for United Nations entities located at Vienna.

This will entail creating a peacebuilding support office and strengthening support both for mediation (my good offices function) and for democracy and the rule of law.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and its leadership deserve our praise for their advocacy in generating international support and for their own contribution in the conduct of relief operations.

Responsibility to devise a strategy for anticipating security needs and addressing them in a timely manner, referred to in recommendation 2 in the OIOS report, was taken over from the Office of Central Support Services by the Department of Safety and Security.

OIOS structured its analysis of MICA along two major activities (a) military support to humanitarian organizations and agencies (HOAs) and (b) CSPs executed by the military.

UU UNO Pledged support for the Millennium Project and the MDGs, making the goals of sustainable development a central focus of program work (UU UNO Members Annual Meeting, April).

5. Recognizes the role of the Office of Human Resources Management in supporting the Secretary General in holding programme managers accountable, and requests the continuing strengthening of that role

Additional projects include support for the establishment of the office of the comptroller general of Somalia, the creation of a central bank and the development of the revenue generation initiative.

This role encompasses support for the International Year, working closely with the United Nations New York Office of Sport for Development and Peace.

Mr. Ngomuo (Information Technology Services Division, Office of Central Support Services) said that, currently, there were six access levels to ODS.

3.7 The subprogramme is implemented by the Conference on Disarmament Secretariat and Conference Support Branch at the United Nations Office at Geneva.
