The United Nations, through the Security Council, has invested a great deal of energy in strengthening the peace and reconciliation process in my country.

My country continues to call for early action to enlarge the permanent and non permanent membership of the Security Council and to improve its working methods.

My country, in keeping with resolution 1373 (2001), has ratified and acceded to the 12 international conventions in the field of terrorism.

I love my motherland.

The European Union therefore supports the initiative that my delegation has taken within the Security Council to pursue this through a new draft resolution.

The combination of being a member of a municipal or provincial council alongside regular employment or care tasks is frequently seen as an obstacle.

With respect to the situation along the Blue Line, my delegation reiterates its call on both sides for restraint and full compliance with the relevant Security Council resolutions.

I would like to convey my delegation's appreciation to the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation, Ambassador Andrey Denisov, President of the Security Council for the month of November, for his comprehensive introduction of this year's Security Council report to the General Assembly. We also wish to thank the members of the Secretariat for their efforts in preparing the report.

The title reads Daraya Rests.

As we have stated before, my country believes that reform of the composition of the Security Council should include the expansion of its membership in both the permanent and the non permanent categories.

For my country, working to defuse the situation will require constructive dialogue between the parties on the basis of the relevant Security Council resolutions resolutions 242 (1967) and 338 (1973).

I wish in conclusion to reaffirm my country's commitment to a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East based on resolutions adopted by the Security Council.

Furthermore, in this resolution, we recall two resolutions that are extremely important for my country Security Council resolutions 1373 (2001) and 1624 (2005).

Nobody forgets my country.

My country supports the Declaration.

Above all, the proposals on the working methods of the Council are the most comprehensive so far and provide scope for small countries like mine to be more closely involved in the work of the Security Council.

I shall now make a statement on behalf of my own country, Malaysia.

Those are my delegation's observations preliminary to, as I said earlier, a more comprehensive and exhaustive report on my Government's views.

Lastly, allow me to again express my delegation's support for the earlier recommendation that the Security Council send a mission to Kosovo either before, during or after the comprehensive review.

Having a telephone in my country was a huge luxury.

When Bulgaria joined the European Union this past January, I believed that my country had finally left its repressive past behind.

Well I'm in love with my country's historical heritage.

I think I united a nation, and I just love where I come from.

My delegation sees two key areas.

In my country, I have seen how the council of Islamist groups and Christian groups came together, not as a government initiative, but they came together on their own initiative to establish contact and dialogue in times where things were pretty low key tension.

My homeland, Poland, has a steady economy and a thriving media.

My delegation stands ready to share its ideas on those matters.

My delegation will spare no effort in that regard.

My country lost millions of its citizens in the war.

My country feels respect and friendship towards the Haitian people.

My country strongly supports that process and supports the present initiative.

My country attaches particular importance to the situation of victims and to the recognition of their rights.

I negotiated for my country the resolution in the Security Council of the 12th of September 2001 condemning the attacks of the day before, which were, of course, deeply present to us actually living in New York at the time.

Around 900 women competed against 6,000 male candidates in the elections for 2,100 seats on 284 municipal councils, responsible for local affairs, including public gardens, sewerage and rubbish collection.

The majority of my fellow young people live in rural areas.
