The focus areas and their contributions to the international agenda

It formed the basis of the medium term programme framework, 2004 2007, which identifies a number of areas of emphasis and priority services for UNIDO for the period under consideration.

For each of the five MTSP focus areas, UNICEF has developed strategies, a set of key results and organizational targets, as described below.

The close linkage between the focus areas of this MTSP and the Millennium agenda will enable UNICEF to engage more strategically with international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank.
