10.9 The duration of enrolment in a pre school is two years.

The Pre School Association does not have a gender equity policy as evidenced by the huge disparity of female trained pre school teachers compared with males.

In light of article 29 and the Committee's general comment No. 1 on the aims of education, the Committee recommends that States parties include human rights education in pre  and primary school programmes.
