Before I crack into my rant, which I'm sure you're waiting for ...

Sixty years ago, our country was among those that brought this institution into being.

My country has previously expressed its opposition to the construction of the separation barrier in the occupied Palestinian territories.

My country fully associates itself with the efforts made by the different export control regimes to address the challenges I have just described.

I love my motherland.

My country had attached great importance to fisheries issues even before Ukraine became a party to the Fish Stocks Agreement.

I was of the generation in my country that lived through the transition from dictatorship to democracy four decades ago.

My delegation looks forward to engaging in constructive and open consultations before September in a spirit of compromise, mutual respect and understanding.

My delegation welcomes the fact that 118 Member States have complied with the provisions of resolution 1540 (2004), which we adopted just over a year ago.

For reasons relating to the office of the Minister for Foreign Affairs that I held until just over a week ago in my country, I will have to be away for a rather considerable period during September.

EG Right now I am going back home.

As we have stated before, my country believes that reform of the composition of the Security Council should include the expansion of its membership in both the permanent and the non permanent categories.

My country lost millions of its citizens in the war.

My country feels respect and friendship towards the Haitian people.

My country strongly supports that process and supports the present initiative.

My country attaches particular importance to the situation of victims and to the recognition of their rights.

Lastly, allow me to again express my delegation's support for the earlier recommendation that the Security Council send a mission to Kosovo either before, during or after the comprehensive review.
