At the same time, like other members of the international community, we deeply deplore the gross violations of international humanitarian and human rights law in Darfur.

They are the victims of hateful crimes that are a stain on the conscience of all humanity but that take place against a background of almost total indifference on the part of the international community.

Argentina believes that the international community's fight against terrorism should be carried out in full respect of the Charter of the United Nations, international law, human rights and humanitarian law.

The international community must continue to adopt and implement feasible measures to put an end to such grave violations of human rights and humanitarian law.

The international community must call upon Israel, the occupying Power, to scrupulously abide by all of its legal obligations under international law, including international humanitarian law and human rights law.

The international community should call on Israel to comply with international humanitarian law and at all times facilitate access to humanitarian services by the Palestinian population, including UNRWA registered refugees.
