Those are my delegation's observations preliminary to, as I said earlier, a more comprehensive and exhaustive report on my Government's views.

The other case that we wish to underline, and which has been mentioned here, is that of the arrest in my country of Mr. Milan Lukić.

A number of ways have been considered to implement the MDGs. The medium term development strategy adopted by our Government this year is an attempt to provide a road map for implementation.

Above all, the proposals on the working methods of the Council are the most comprehensive so far and provide scope for small countries like mine to be more closely involved in the work of the Security Council.

The graveyards of Europe and war memorials in every town in my country are testament to the human loss and to the sacrifice that was made to help save Europe and the world from barbarism.
