In 1961, 69 of the women minority group never attended school, compared to 30 of the male minority group.

The efforts of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment to encourage women returners to take paid employment also target also ethnic minority women not receiving benefit who want paid employment.

Employment of Minorities (Promotion) Act

The Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities is the only international legally binding instrument for the protection of national minorities.

Efforts have been made to increase minority employment in the revenue raising institutions and make them more accessible to minority communities.

But protection of their existence goes beyond the duty not to destroy or deliberately weaken minority groups.
