Based upon the above, a conclusion can be made that the institution of Ombudsman in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with its responsibilities and mandate set forth by the Law on the Ombudsman for Human Rights, takes measures, implements activities and gives recommendations in order to achieve at the complete realization of the rights recognized by the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President of the Law Reform Commission, the Ombudsman and the Refugee Applications Commissioner were women.

As with the Ombudsman, it is proposed that the head of the ethics office be appointed at the level of Assistant Secretary General for a fixed, non renewable five year term.

Following the ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child by Law 2101 99, Greece established the operation of the Children's Ombudsman, in the context of the Citizen's Ombudsman.

It was originally staffed by the Ombudsman, at the level of Assistant Secretary General, for a non renewable five year term and by a legal officer at the P 4 level.

In connection with the latter, the Committee notes that the current ombudsperson system is proposed to be strengthened with participation by UNICEF in the joint office of the Ombudsperson of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS, at the request of UNICEF.
