We can't transform our learning world and learning environment for young people without mayors, superintendents, city council members, but also non profit leaders and philanthropic leaders and business leaders all being committed to the common goals inaudible for young people.

The Government is also working to improve teacher training and to provide enhanced professional development opportunities for teachers to increase the number of gifted and talented courses and advanced placement courses for students.

These include such areas as training opportunities and career development.

UNRWA concurs with the need to evaluate training in order to assess its contribution towards the professional development and growth of its staff members.

Vocational training and job creation have also been in focus.

Similarly, supervisors and managers will be encouraged to provide coaching and mentoring to staff members through in house and on the job professional development.

Teachers, like other professionals, may have to continue their education after they qualify, a process known as continuing professional development.

One of the major activities of this project is providing vocational trainings for school leavers for identified jobs in the job market.

Horizontally, women and men are placed in different occupations men, for example, as barmen, gardeners, drivers and pilots, and women, as waitresses, chambermaids, cleaners, sales persons and flight attendants.29 Vertically, occupations with few career development opportunities are dominated by women while key managerial positions are dominated by men.
